While I have been in South Korea I have noticed that there don't seem to be any nursing homes. I started to wonder.....where are all the elderly people hiding? After visiting several markets....it became clear....

All of the old people are forced to sell food at the markets......
I for one support the culture....American grandma's typically are more concerned about where their dentures are and if they crapped their pants while they slept. The Korean grandmas or K-Grannies as I like to call them are straight slinging cash.
Whatever you give them, whether it's vegetable, fish, candy, horse jerky, or strange parts of animals... they sell. K-Grannies are backed with 80 to 120 years of experience depending on the amount of Kimchi they ate in their lifetime, they know what you want before you do. I got tricked into buying a pig foot....and I have to say she was right...it was delicious.
